Our Philosophy

J.R.R. Tolkien wrote, "Not all those who wander are lost." but sometimes as we wander though life it can feel like we have lost our way. The choice to seek counseling is much like the cliche about our reluctance to ask for directions when we are lost....we only do so when we fear that to go any further would make our situation worse.

Sometimes we were on the right path all along but couldn't see far enough into the distance to know we were headed in the right direction. Sometimes we do wind up at a dead end, but that path had to be explored first, before we could go in a different direction. And sometimes we find we just can't get there from here.

Counseling is not a roadmap. The goal of counseling is not to give you directions...it's simply to assist in lighting the path so you can find your way.
